Metro line 2 (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) of HCMC is started with the construction of the office building category and ancillary works at Tham Luong Depot.

Office building with a basement size and 8-storey tower block. The total contract value of over 173 billion and the construction of 480 days. This is the first package of the project to build the subway line No. 2 was started and progress. This building is also the executive center of the entire subway system metro line No.2.
This metro line length of about 20 km (Thu Thiem – Tay Ninh bus station), divided into 2 phases. A 11.3 km long stage (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) passing through the district of 1.3, 10, 12, Tan Binh and Tan Phu; including 9.3 km underground with an average depth of 18 m. The entire route has 10 underground stations and one elevated station, a total investment of more than 26 110 billion ($ 1.3 billion). Phase 2 will be carried out when there is sufficient capital.
Earlier, on 24/8/2010, leveling items, building fences, guard house of depot (technical maintenance station) Tham Luong has been started. No. 2 metro line is expected to be completed in 2019 and put into operation from 2020.
